Repairs, Refurbishment and Replacement

Timber box sash windows are still commonly fitted in period properties and whilst an attractive feature to many, they do require periodic maintenance.

A perished or broken sash cord is one of the most common problems attributed to these older style windows, although many have not been painted correctly or regularly enough to prevent water ingress in the sash and frames themselves.

We have a great deal of experience in not only re-cording, but completely overhauling box sash windows, including splicing in new timber and completely refurbishing with new draft sealed parting and staff beads, new window furniture etc.

Where windows are to far gone for refurbishment, we are also able to offer competitive prices for like for like replacements.
